Development of Al-Noor Schools for the Blind
The “Development of Al-Noor Schools for the Blind” project responds to the deprivation of many blind students especially at the primary level—from access to Perkins Braillers due to limited availability, alongside reduced teacher capacity in Braille instruction following the suspension of Ministry-led training missions.
This negatively impacted the quality of education and students’ acquisition of basic skills.
Through this project, Ataa Fund supports the right of students with visual disabilities to receive education aligned with modern requirements by upgrading the education system in Al-Noor Schools for the Blind.
This includes providing assistive technology-based learning tools and building the capacities of teachers and students at Al-Noor Schools in Assiut Governorate, followed by Al-Noor School in Minya Governorate.
