Azimut Investments – Egypt

Azimut, one of the first financial institutions in the management of funds and securities portfolios in the region since 1997 in the Egyptian market with license No. 187 from the Financial Regulatory Authority, it manages (without pay) the fund’s donated investment portfolio and works on making investment decisions, monitoring and diversifying investments in order to achieve appropriate returns under acceptable risks. It manages about 8 billion Egyptian pounds for various Egyptian, Arab and international institutions, and the Azimut Group operates in 18 countries around the world with total assets under management of $ 62 billion in investment funds and securities portfolios in various markets in multiple strategies in the field of equities, fixed income instruments, money market instruments and diversified investment assets, and the company also manages many government-owned portfolios, sovereign funds, pension funds, institutional entities and individuals with high financial standing.

The Fund’s portfolio is managed by Mr. Ahmed Bahgat Abu Al-Saad, who is the Managing Director of the company, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of investment funds, portfolios and capital markets.

Investment Determinants

  • Bank deposits, savings certificates, investment certificates and liquid cash up to a minimum of 5%
  • Treasury bonds, bills, government financing instruments and any other government secured securities up to 95%
  • Corporate bonds, securitization bonds or Sukuk negotiable in the stock market up to a maximum of 25%
  • Cash investment funds and fixed income funds up to a maximum of 20%

The investment of the Fund’s funds shall be in accordance with the provisions of Article (174) of the Executive Regulations as follows:

  • The percentage invested in the purchase of securities for one company shall not exceed 15% of the fund’s net assets and not exceed 20% of the securities of that company.
  • The percentage invested in the purchase of investment documents in one fund shall not exceed 20% of the fund’s net assets and not exceed 5% of the number of documents of the invested fund.
  • The percentage invested by the Fund in securities issued by a related group may not exceed 20% of the Fund’s net assets.
