The first investment fund to revive
concept of charitable endowment
through “purchasing certificates” to support persons with disabilities.
Over 5 years of serving persons with disabilities
More than 35 projects funded and implemented
Over 14,000 direct beneficiaries
Advantages of Charitable Investment Ataa Fund
The fund's capital, generated through certificate purchases, is securely invested, with the principal preserved and only the returns allocated to disability-related projects. This approach establishes a sustainable funding model, comparable to an endowment (waqf).
Administrative and marketing expenses are capped at 2% of the fund's capital, thereby safeguarding the allocation of resources primarily to initiatives supporting persons with disabilities.
There is a clear separation of roles: the asset manager (a specialized investment company), the Board of Directors with diverse expertise that selects projects, and the implementers (NGOs and governmental institutions). The Board regularly evaluates outcomes on the ground, ensuring that projects achieve measurable impact and deliver sustainable benefits for persons with disabilities.
As mandated by the Capital Market Law, certificate holders convene annually to review the fund's performance, propose improvements, and question revenue allocations. This process ensures transparency, accountability, and active donor participation.
